The DSP Leadership Network unveils steering committee comprising industry leaders to advance scientific progress

Dubai, UAE, 22 December 2025: The DSP Leadership Network, an exclusive, merit-based community for senior professionals across the healthcare, life sciences, and broader sciences ecosystem, has established its steering committee. The development builds on successful year of impactful engagements initiated by the Network, founded in January 2025 by Dubai Science Park, the region’s leading science ecosystem and one of TECOM Group PJSC’s 10 business districts.

The DSP Leadership Network has played a crucial role in enabling knowledge-sharing and nurturing homegrown innovation in support of the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’, Dubai Research and Development Programme, and We the UAE 2031. Its newly formed committee for 2026-27, announced during the network’s final forum for this year, includes distinguished leaders offering invaluable expertise to guide The DSP Leadership Network’s strategic direction.

“The formation of The DSP Leadership Network’s committee marks a significant step forward in Dubai Science Park’s ambition to advance science-led progress,” said Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, Dubai Knowledge Park, and Dubai International Academic City, part of TECOM Group. “The committee will be instrumental in guiding our initiatives, ensuring that the Network continues to be a catalyst for innovation and collaboration. With its exceptional guidance, we look forward to contributing towards the visionary goals of Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’, Dubai Research and Development Programme, and We the UAE 2031.”

In addition to Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi as Chairperson, the newly formed committee comprises Dr. Khulood Alsayegh, Head of Clinical Standards and Guidelines at Dubai Health Authority, overseeing the Government and Regulatory portfolio; Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany, Group CEO and Executive Board Member at Fakeeh Health, representing Healthcare Providers; Sophie Smith, Founder and CEO at Nabta Health, focusing on Women’s Health; Mohamed Nasser, General Manager, Middle East and Africa at Amgen, for Biotechnology and Research; and Ronald Boueri, VP, Managing Director, Olympus Middle East, Türkiye and Africa, who will oversee Medical Devices.

These key figures are joined by a select group of senior industry leaders who occupy critical seats covering areas such as AI in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, mental health, corporate affairs, academia, digital health, and entrepreneurship.

A year of progress

The DSP Leadership Network’s inaugural thought-leadership forum, held in January on the sidelines of Arab Health’s milestone 50th edition, convened experts from Dubai Health Authority, Department of Health – Abu Dhabi’s Research and Innovation Centre, Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi, DNA Longevity, and Organon, to discuss actionable strategies for healthy and holistic longevity.

This was followed in June by the second forum, hosted at TECOM Group’s D/Quarters flexible co-working spaces at Dubai Science Park, which explored the power of strategic communication and personal branding in accelerating scientific innovation and business growth, with representatives from industry leaders such as Teneo and Magna Global sharing insights at the event.

Most recently, in October, The DSP Leadership Network hosted its third forum, which coincided with Health Literacy Month and World Mental Health Day. The forum brought together prominent regional healthcare voices, including leaders from Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres, M42, National Multiple Sclerosis Society UAE, and Mentra, to address the critical need for raising health literacy amongst the community and tackling online misinformation.

The DSP Leadership Network was established by Dubai Science Park, a cohesive ecosystem for the life, energy, and environmental sciences, provides Grade-A offices, LEED-certified laboratories, and comprehensive storage and logistics facilities. It is home to more than 500 customers and a vibrant community of over 6,500 professionals advancing scientific progress and enriching the region’s knowledge economy.

Dubai Science Park is part of TECOM Group’s portfolio of business districts, which include Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Design District (d3), and Dubai Industrial City.
