Positive steps forwards: Over 2,000 Dubai residents raise diabetes awareness at WeWalk

 

 

Dubai, UAE, 22 November 2024:The fifth annual edition of WeWalk, held on 16 November at Dubai Science Park, saw more than 2,000 participants walk a 3.5km route to raise awareness and funds for diabetes and endocrinological disorders in partnership with Dubai Charity Association.

This year’s edition of WeWalk, TECOM Group PJSC’s annual charitable walkathon, raised awareness and funds for diabetes and endocrinological wellbeing through a variety of activities.

Stage shows, live performances, interactive games, and educational booths created a fun and engaging experience for families and individuals of all ages.

All proceeds from WeWalk will be donated to Dubai Charity Association to cover the treatment of children with diabetes.

This year’s edition of WeWalk united public and private sector partners to raise awareness and funds for diabetes and endocrinological disorders, including Dubai Police, Dubai Ambulance, Dubai Sports Council, and Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), in addition to the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department.

American Hospital was Strategic Partner of WeWalk 2024 in association with Dubai Charity Association.

Skechers and Al Ain Water were Gold Partners of the event. Lululemon, Medtronic, the University of Wollongong Dubai, Rubicon Exotic, and Optimum Nutrition supported WeWalk as Emerald Partners, and Gulf News, Al Rabia FM, and Channel 104.8 were Media Partners of the 2024 edition.
